The podcast about creative work.
Soul Traders Podcast was born from the workshops I ran with writer and digital strategist, Amy Snoekestra. Our workshop participants were coming up against many of the same challenges in their work (and life!) and we decided to address these, topic by topic, in a free podcast. Since 2020, we’ve found ourselves a like-minded community of freelancers and small business owners and our podcast is consistently named in the top marketing podcasts in Australia. In Season 3 we welcomed Tess McCabe of Creative Minds as a co-host.
“Bo Wong speaks like she swims: with purpose, presence and joy.”
I recently spoke with Saneia Norton, an inspiring landscape architect and design communications expert who recently attended the 2024 Tide + Seek Retreat. She is an absolute legend and brought so much joy and expertise to the group. We were lucky to have her come all the way from Sydney and I’m chuffed to be a guest on her podcast! In this episode of Dig Beneath Design, her podcast of stories and insights about design communication, we chatted about my best and worst communications experiences, why I remove specific words from my email comms and of course, we talked about ocean swimming and why it connects so beautifully with running your own business.
“Tall, powerful and Chinese, she didn’t feel like she fit the mould.”
“44 year old Bo Wong tells her story of being a sporty turBO kid and wild teen. Bo reveals a period of drug use and being involved with environmental activism. Step parenting , career and babies in her thirties, kept Bo pushing hard. A sea change to Denmark in the great southern 10 years ago and discovering a group of ocean swimming women became a saviour. Her latest challenge is being in the midst of chronic fatigue and long covid and the lessons of slowing her life down.”
